Delay on war report

Sir John Chilcot’s inquiry in to the 2003 Iraq war will not report before the May election. The inquiry was ordered by Gordon Brown whilst he was PM in 2009. The last public hearing was conducted in 2011. The cost of the inquiry so far is over £9 million and is frustrating key political figures who want to see the report published.
